Actors of Urban Change: Case Clinic in Hamburg

In collaboration with Actors of Urban Change, Multiplicities organised a case clinic at Kraftwerk Bille. This late 19th century factory complex in Hammerbrook, a predominantly industrial area to the east of Hamburg, is home to 25 artists. Will artists and creatives have affordable spaces for non-commercial, cultural and public use in the future?

Multiplicities promoted civic collaboration and the formation of new alliances and developed ways to create broader public awareness for artists’ spaces within the privately run Kraftwerk Bille.

How can encounters between different people be facilitated in order to awaken people’s interest in urban development and active citizenship? This endeavour is part of Kraftwerk Bille’s commitment to developing this area into a centre for active and interested people in the east of Hamburg.
