What does the street space need to be fit for the future? How does it need to change in order to meet the challenges of tomorrow? To find answers to these questions, the IHK Berlin has launched the ‘100m Future’ project. Together with the neighbourhood, science, companies, start-ups and civil society, innovative solutions for the urban infrastructure on and around Fasanenstrasse are being tested. The Ludwig-Erhard-Haus will become a source of innovation and an artery for the future with the ‘Fasanenstrasse’ experimental space: a lively innovation laboratory is being created that brings people, technology and the built environment together and charges them with new ideas and infrastructure offerings.
The IHK Berlin wants to continue actively shaping the city and emphasise the future viability of companies with their location innovations. Innovative impulses are the key: a resilient, sustainable and economically strong city does not develop on its own – it needs courage, cooperation and continuous testing in practice.
With this new format on Fasanenstrasse, we are creating a space in which companies can test their ideas directly in an urban environment. The high visibility and close networking offer valuable opportunities for everyone involved – from useful partnerships with innovators to dialogue with business, research, politics and administration. Innovators, business, research, politics and administration.
