Feasibility study for a market hall in the “New Centre Garbsen”

The aim of the concept study is to anchor the cross-cultural topic of nutrition in the new centre of Garbsen. The results of the mapping of regional market and development potential and the expert interviews with regional producers identified significant potential and target groups for regionally produced food in a market hall in the new centre of Garbsen.

Conceptual utilisation approaches and economic feasibility analyses for a market hall in the Neue Mitte Garbsen show great potential for revitalising and enhancing it in the long term. Both the risk-minimised development of a regional market with public goods offerings and the realisation of a market hall with culture and education are recommended for the development of the new Garbsen centre (also in combination).
