ReportFeasibility study for a creative quarter in Rostock
The subject of the study is the evaluation of possible locations for a new creative quarter in the Hanseatic city of Rostock. The potential of the cultural and creative industries and their network-like, spatial, cultural and economic characteristics were identified in the course of this review.
It shows great potential for a creative quarter: it is fed by a cultural and creative industry with a small-scale structure, the digital economy (software/games industry submarket) as well as educational, knowledge and cultural stakeholders.
On the basis of the description of potential, an evaluation basis is provided for five specified location alternatives available for selection. The results suggest a well-founded preferred option to the citizens.
