Participation, analysis and citizen dialogues as a starting point for the formulation of new cultural profiles in Augsburg (Bavaria).
In cooperation with Dr Patrick Föhl and Tina Gadow, Multiplicities carried out a strategic, citizen-oriented reorientation of the cultural landscape of the city of Augsburg. Between 2014 and 2016, expert interviews, public citizens’ workshops, online surveys and dialogue platforms were used to initiate a cultural policy, urban planning and scene-oriented look at a new theatre district. In January 2016, the stakeholders responsible for the renovation of the Theatre of Augsburg and the design of the surrounding neighbourhood received concrete ideas and suggestions from the citizens’ workshops and implemented them. In March 2016, criteria and approaches for future cultural promotion were discussed and elaborated in a workshop.
