STADTart
Together with STADTart (Dortmund), we are supporting the economic department of the city of Braunschweig with the study “Innovation ecosystem and evaluation of cultural and creative industries funding”. In this context, the interfaces between the cultural and creative industries and the innovation ecosystem as well as the start-up system are analyzed and concrete derivations for the development of a sustainable platform strategy are developed.
For Braunschweig, a functioning innovation ecosystem means systematically linking the existing potential from business, science, culture and civil society. The aim is to create an open, dynamic space in which new ideas can emerge, be tried out and transformed into entrepreneurial or social innovations. The involvement of the cultural and creative industries plays a central role here – not only does it provide impetus for new business models, it also promotes interdisciplinary thinking and a creative culture of innovation.
We identify strategic interfaces, conduct co-creative strategy workshops and network small creative start-ups with the major innovation players in the transformation region of Braunschweig. This creates new collaborations, synergies and formats that accelerate innovation processes and make regional strengths visible.
For Braunschweig, building an innovation ecosystem also means creating new spaces for collaboration, thinking beyond sector boundaries and making better use of existing knowledge – with the aim of strengthening the city as a sustainable and attractive location for innovation.
